Six things we do, sized to what you can actually spend.
We are a product engineering team, not a full-service agency. We do not run your ads, write your blog or manage your brand. We build the software, and because most of the people reading this are founders paying out of their own pocket, every price below is the smallest real version of that work rather than the biggest.
Web product engineering
Booking platforms, portals, marketplaces, dashboards, multi-tenant apps. We take a product from a whiteboard to something real users are paying for, and we design the data model and the architecture rather than inheriting whatever the first sprint produced. This is most of what we do.
From $11kfor a working MVP: one core flow, real accounts, deployed
4–20 weeks, depending on where you start. Bigger scopes cost more; we will tell you which you need.
What you get
- Technical architecture and data model, written down before the build
- Design system and component library owned by you
- Authentication, roles, billing and admin tooling
- Third-party and legacy API integration
- CI, preview environments, error tracking and analytics from day one
Commerce & storefronts
We build custom Shopify themes, headless storefronts over the Storefront API, and WooCommerce stores with the awkward requirements: trade pricing, subscriptions, configurators, multi-market catalogues. We will also tell you when a theme is the right answer and headless is an expensive mistake, which is more often than most agencies admit.
From $6.5kfor a launch-ready store on a customised theme, built to sell
2–12 weeks. Bigger scopes cost more; we will tell you which you need.
What you get
- Custom theme or headless storefront, built around your brand
- Product configurators and made-to-order flows
- Subscriptions, trade and role-based pricing, multi-currency
- Checkout and conversion work with before/after numbers
- Migration from Magento, BigCommerce or a legacy stack
Mobile applications
One team, one codebase, both platforms. Nine apps live on the stores: food delivery at 3am peak load, GPS and Apple Watch fitness tracking, barber booking with in-app payments, and a real-time AI voice agent we built and shipped ourselves. We handle the parts that sink app projects after launch: push notifications, offline state, in-app purchases, store review, and the release pipeline you will be running every fortnight for years.
From $13kfor one platform, one core flow, submitted to the store
5–16 weeks. Bigger scopes cost more; we will tell you which you need.
What you get
- iOS and Android from a single React Native codebase
- Offline-first data layer and sync
- Push notifications and deep linking
- In-app purchases and subscription billing
- App Store and Play submission, plus the release pipeline
Integrations & automation
The unglamorous work that quietly returns the most: ERP and CRM sync, payment and logistics providers, MLS and IDX feeds, booking engines, warehouse systems. Built with retries, idempotency and observability, because an integration that fails silently is worse than no integration.
From $3.5kfor one integration, built properly, with retries and alerting
1–8 weeks. Bigger scopes cost more; we will tell you which you need.
What you get
- API and webhook integration with retry and idempotency
- Data pipelines and scheduled sync jobs
- Internal tools and admin dashboards
- Monitoring and alerting on every moving part
- Documentation your own team can maintain
Performance & technical SEO
We profile the real thing on real devices, fix what the numbers point at, and report the before and after. Core Web Vitals, bundle size, render-blocking work, crawlability and structured data. Usually the highest-return week of work available to a site that already has traffic.
From $2.4kfor a full audit and the fixes worth doing, with before and after numbers
1–3 weeks. Bigger scopes cost more; we will tell you which you need.
What you get
- Core Web Vitals audit on field data, not just lab scores
- Bundle, image and font delivery overhaul
- Caching and rendering strategy
- Crawlability, structured data and indexation fixes
- A written report with before and after figures
Product design
Design that arrives as a working front end rather than a handover document. We run discovery, design the flows, and build the design system in code, which removes the entire category of argument about whether the build matches the mockup.
From $4.2kfor a brand direction and the core screens, designed and built
1–6 weeks. Bigger scopes cost more; we will tell you which you need.
What you get
- Discovery, user flows and information architecture
- High-fidelity UI design across breakpoints
- Design system implemented in code, not just in Figma
- Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA
- Prototypes you can put in front of customers
The work we will send elsewhere.
Saying this out loud costs us a few enquiries and saves everybody a wasted fortnight.
Paid media and SEO retainers
We will build a site that is fast and crawlable. We will not run your campaigns, and the agencies who do both are usually better at one than the other.
Equity instead of payment
We will flex hard on how you pay, including sprint by sprint. We do not take equity in place of a fee, because a team carrying your risk stops being able to tell you the inconvenient thing.
Staff augmentation by headcount
We take ownership of a surface and deliver it. We do not sell bodies by the hour into someone else's backlog, because nobody is accountable for the outcome in that arrangement.
Start at one sprint, or commission the whole thing.
Most founders who hire us start at the cheapest option on this page and work up. You are not expected to arrive with a six-figure budget.
One sprint at a time
$3,900 / sprint
Two weeks. Stop whenever you like.
Buy a single two-week sprint. We agree what ships in it, we ship it, and you decide whether to buy another. No retainer, no minimum, no contract beyond the sprint you have paid for.
Solo founders and pre-seed startups
Fixed-scope build
from $11k
Quoted per milestone
We scope it, quote it, and carry the risk of the estimate. Payment follows milestones, so you are never more than one milestone ahead of delivered work.
A defined v1 with a launch date
Embedded pod
from $14k / month
Monthly, 30 days' notice
A standing team, typically a lead, two engineers and a designer, working to your roadmap in your tools. The usual choice once a product is live, growing and funded.
Funded teams shipping continuously
Not ready for any of that?
Product & codebase audit, $1,900, fixed
Not ready to commit to a build? Buy a week of our time instead. We go through whatever exists (code, designs, a half-finished site, or just the idea) and come back with a written plan: what to build first, what to skip, what it will cost and how long it will take.
Ask about an audit- A written technical plan you own, whoever builds it
- Prioritised scope: what ships in v1, what waits
- Honest build-versus-buy advice, including when not to hire us
- Credited in full against a build if you go ahead within 60 days
Tell us what you are trying to build.
Thirty minutes with the engineer who would lead the project. You will leave with an opinion on what to build, what to skip, and roughly what it costs, whether or not you hire us.
