Beast Health

One product, sold hard, in several countries at once: the theme's job was to make each market feel like it was built for that market.

01

The problem

A design-led product needs a design-led store

Beast sells a blender that is bought on design and performance rather than on price, which means the store has to carry a lot of visual weight: full-bleed video, product photography, and a merchandising flow that builds a case rather than listing specs.

It also sells into multiple countries, and each market needs its own language, currency, promotions and shipping messaging. That is not something you bolt on afterwards.

02

What we did

Custom Shopify 2.0 theme with Markets underneath

The storefront is a custom Shopify 2.0 theme rather than a theme-store purchase, so the layout follows the brand: video-led hero, full-width product storytelling, and a promotion bar that carries market-specific offers.

Localisation runs on Shopify Markets, so each region gets its own language, currency and merchandising while sharing one catalogue and one admin. The market is selected automatically, which is the correct default even though it means the site you see depends on where you are.

Because it is a theme rather than a headless build, the client keeps Shopify's app ecosystem and the admin their team already knows, which for a DTC brand running frequent promotions matters more than a Lighthouse point.

  • Custom Shopify 2.0 theme with sections built around video and photography
  • Shopify Markets for per-region language, currency and promotions
  • Market-specific announcement and promotion messaging
  • One catalogue and one admin across regions
03

The outcome

A store that ships in several languages from one admin

The brand runs regional storefronts with their own language, pricing and promotions without maintaining separate stores, and the marketing team merchandises all of them from a single Shopify admin.

What we learned

  • 01

Shopify Markets beats running a store per country. One catalogue, one admin, and localisation handled by the platform rather than by a sync job.

  • 02

For a single-product DTC brand, the theme is the pitch. Sections have to be built for storytelling, not for listing a catalogue.
